Everybody loves a night out with friends, enjoying two or three drinks, and talking about different things. Of course, alcohol makes everything much more interesting, but it has an important downside: getting drunk. This could ruin not only your night, but your reputation as well, therefore you must avoid it at all costs. However, if you are not used to drinking alcohol, this could be much easier said than done. Since not drinking is not exactly an option, because you don't want to stand out from the group, we will teach you some tips & tricks to stay completely sober throughout the night.
Eat well before or during the evening. We will not go into details, but it's a well-known fact that you get tipsy a lot easier if don't eat well before or during the evening. Even if you normally eat healthily, we would recommend getting something with a little bit more fat before drinking, such as fast food, or pizza. The fat will absorb the alcohol, which means you can drink more without getting drunk. Of course, you don't have to exaggerate since moderation is the key to anything in life.
Choose a type of drink and stick with it. Another very important piece of information you have to keep in mind is that mixing drinks is a very bad idea. Furthermore, combining fizzy and non fizzy alcohol is potentially the most disastrous of thoughts. Therefore, beer and wine
is a big no-no, no matter which goes first. In conclusion, choose wisely before starting to drink, and opt for your favorite cocktail, beer, or wine, but don't combine them under any circumstances! If anybody else at the table makes this mistake, you will see the effects, and you will thanks us for warning you.
Don't forget to drink water. Drinking water in between alcoholic beverages is by no means something shameful, it's even recommended. The explanation is simple: alcohol will be literally... watered down, just like adding water into a glass of wine. However, drinking the water separately is a much more elegant solution. Therefore, when the waiter comes to take your order, mention a bottle of still water and keep it by your side the whole night. Take our word for it: serving water between two glasses or two bottles of alcohol will make the whole experience much more pleasant and bearable.
Listen to your body. Your body, not only your internal organs, but your brain as well, will tell you when something is wrong. However, it's not enough: you have to listen to it and do what it says! At the first signs of getting a little dizzy, or feeling unwell, you should stop drinking, and opt for water instead. This will not only help you enjoy the rest of the evening, but it will also prevent any repercussions the next morning, such as a terrible hangover. And remember: you are a lady, so you should drink like one! It will not only preserve your impeccable image, but will also make you avoid any unwanted circumstances. Have fun!
